316L stainless steel plate meets ASTM A240 criteria.

Our 316L stainless steel plate is hot rolled, annealed and pickled. The 316L stainless steel plate does not have a polished or brushed finish and does not come with a protective PVC to prevent scratching as it is typically not used for aesthetic or cosmetic uses.

With 316L stainless steel plate, Stainless Supply only offers laser cutting. On laser cut 316L stainless steel plate, Stainless Supply can offer a wide variety of cut types and patterns. You can use our Quote Request link below to upload files for us to custom cut your 316L stainless steel plate.

316L stainless steel offer better corrosion and higher strength at elevated temperatures than 304 stainless steel. 316L stainless steel is used in marine applications, along with being used for pumps, valves, textile and chemical equipment, and general uses where 300 series stainless steel is used.

The "L" means that the carbon content of the alloy is below 0.03% which makes the 316L stainless steel sheet preferable for welding over standard 316 stainless steel.
