HEMMED SIDES |
-
Hemming is a fabrication option used to keep the outside edges of the sheet from being sharp.
- The hems will give the edges a finished appearance.
- The hems will add a degree of rigidity to the sheet.
- Hemming can be done on sheets up to 22 gauge stainless steel.
- Hemmed sheets can still have sharp corners, which can be prevented with the round corner option.
- When you enter the size dimensions of the piece, that will be the "finished" size. We will compensate the extra material for the hem.
- Hemmed edges are not sharp, they can be touched with the bare hand with very little to no risk of being cut.
